A dynamic and interactive one day class on Communication and De-escalation Skills and Strategies for Professionals working with Youth.

  • Understanding mental health crisis: self harm, substance abuse, domestic assault
  • Physical safety
  • Communication de-escalation techniques
  • State licensing requirements, reporting, confidentiality issues
  • Suicide prevention
  • The whole person in crisis

ALSO INCLUDES:

Realistic scenario based practical exercise training guided by a trained Crisis Intervention Team coach to give class participants hands on experience with crisis response in de-escalation.
