
Mark Anderson Executive Director, The Barbara Schneider Foundation
Mark Anderson has a MA in Liberal Studies from Hamline University. Mark is the Founding Director
of the Barbara Schneider Foundation (2003). Before that he was the Senior Policy Advisor on health
care, mental health, human rights and other related issues in the office of U.S. Senator Paul Wellstone, including his work
on universal health coverage and mental health and substance abuse treatment parity. He also served in the office of
Governor Rudy Perpich and was appointed to the Health Care Access Commission which initiated the process that lead to the
creation of Minnesota Care.

Renee Jenson
Community Collabortion Coordinator, The Barbara Schneider Foundation
Renee Jenson has a MA in Management from
the University of Minnesota. Renee works with individuals and organizations to collaborate on ways to respond
to crisis situations in communities. She is a member of the Minnesota State Advisory Council on Mental Health and
serves on many law enforcement and community health advisory councils. She is a frequent
speaker for NAMI and the Barbara Schneider Foundation on mental illness.
